I love the can packaging. When I opened this can of cat food it looked good enough for me to eat. It was so juicy & looked like good quality big pieces of chicken. I let Huey smell and he was so excited. Tail swishing following behind me. When I put in a bowl he was right there and ate it all in one sitting. I think you will be highly impressed with this cat food. It is approved by me and Huey..
I received the can of Tiki Cat today and split it between my three cats. I have two rescued and one full bred, papered Siamese. Both of the rescued devoured it and licked the plate clean. The Siamese, who has always been selective about her food, seemed to clear the plate of all the broth but, left the majority of the chicken.
When I opened the can it really smelled like the canned chicken that you get at the grocery store for salads. So, the smell wasn't offensive.
I would totally recommend this to my friends as a better option to their regular canned food. The fact that the smell was NOT overwhelming was a major plus for me and I may look into buying for the two rescues that liked it the best.
btw, my 9 lb Doxie seems to enjoy the leftovers from the picky Siamese.
So I can't tell you what it tastes like because it is cat food but my cat Mariah seemed to really enjoy it. I opened it up and though she was kind of hestitant at first she ended up eating the whole thing. She is usually a very picky eater so this was a nice change to see her actually seem to enjoy wet food. I got to a point where I stopped giving her wet food because she would eat it on occasion but she ate this no problem. I am giving a 5 star because of this. The quality seemed to be good based on ingrediants and the fact that she seemed to enjoy it. I can't actually tell you how it tasted like I mentioned before lol but overall I think I would give this to my cat again. The taste is an assumption so I will say 5 stars as well but I didn't eat cat food so we are clear! lol
I recieved the Succulent Chicken flavor for my cat, Tippy. The first thing I noticed when I read the packaging was that it only had real meat and natural flavors. None of the other junk that is typically found in his canned food. When I opened it to give it to him, I noticed that it didn't have that horrendous smell that his usual wet food has. It smelled just like regular chicken. It also looked like chicken. Not something that had been overly processed. It was still white and just looked like it had some gravy to it. My cat absolutely loved this food. He went right to it without being finicky and it was gone in just a few minutes. I am definitely looking forward to buying him more of this product. It's good to know I can give him food that is good for him and apparently tastes good to him too.
I have two kitties and only one can of Tiki Cat Puka Puka! What is a dame to do when she has a teenaged feline and a senior feline doing figures eights around your ankles for a taste of Succulent Chicken? Hurry up already and divide up the goods already! Both of my girls devoured what I plated for them. I wasn't sure what to expect as far as the texture and smell go, but I was pleasantly surprised not to find mushy scraps of chicken and an overpowering smell of chicken-y, gelled, something or other. Instead I found what appears to be edible for human consumption. I didn't try it though! Nice chunks of chicken with a clear broth, similar to a can of chunked chicken you would find in a grocery store. Tiki Cat Puka Puka's Succulent Chicken lives up to its claims of being a grain free, gravy free, zero carb meal, made of happy range free chickens. Serving this meal is a socially conscious and ethical way to nourish and honor your pets. I would be willing to seek this product out and use it as to supplement my kitties meals. However, one dilemma I encountered after a bit of research is finding a store that carries the product locally. Because of the high quality and methods used to bring the product to the public, it is more expensive to purchase. Spending extra money for shipping is not an incentive. Other than that, I'm am impressed with the product. Thank you for introducing us; Sparkle Mama, Meow-Meow, and myself to a TIki of a good time. Speedy delivery too! Go'head Swaggable, with your speedy selves.
My cats really enjoyed the Tiki Cat Puka Puka Gourmet Whole Food Cat Food. I love knowing that it is grain free and the succulent chicken in chicken consomme was a flavor that they enjoyed. I love that chicken was the first ingredient on the label and not some sort of filler. I will definitely be looking for this to buy again.
I wrote an indepth review here.
So my cat Mochi is picky when it comes to cat food. She does the best on grain free wet food so I was super happy I got to try this, or she got to try this! I popped this open while taking photos to get some shots before I gave it to her. As soon as I opened it I had to fend her off so I could actually get my shots. She scarfed this up in just a few minutes, which is huge because she usually only eats a tablespoon or two at a time. This looked and smelled delicious. *I*wanted to try it. haha This didn't make her sick at all and she kept trying to get to the empty can in the trash to get more. Definitely like this and will be getting some for her! Thanks for letting us try it!
